Fall, the best time of the year!

 Yes, fall is finally here, with the gorgeous colors, crinkly leaves, and the crisp, smoky smell in the air! The crisp, smoky smell is my favorite part, I love it!    The only sad part about fall, is that now, all our summer recreation outside is slowly coming to a halt! We just dug a pond over the Fourth of July weekend, and by the time it filled considerably enough to swim in, we only got a couple swims in before the weather got too chilly!  That, and the campfires! I love the campfires at night in summer, and roasting marshmallows, and even hot dogs tasted good over a campfire! But, there are lots of awesome things about fall too, that I will miss when winter rolls around!  One of my favorite things about fall is the walks on the bike trail nearby, with the leaves falling all around us as we walk, and the crinkly leaves crunching beneath my feet. And the colors of the trees, as each one of them turn a different shade, creating a gorgeous view! We even attempted to make pumpkin roll,

Who we are...

Way, way far out, in what many people consider the middle of nowhere, is a tiny rural town, that has a bowling alley and a post office. And little further in, down a small country road, across the old train tracks, is our farm. It's the prettiest place around, especially in the summer, with all the gorgeous wild flowers growing, and new calves kicking their heels in the deep clover. There is ten acres on our small Sugar N Spice Farm, all being put to good use! My parents raise Hereford cattle for beef for our table, and sometimes other people as well. We also currently have two Great White hogs, Laurel and Hardy, who are about 350 pounds each, and they are going to the butcher tomorrow. Yay! All that delicious pork! We also have three dogs, Rosie, a Chocolate Lab, and Cookie and Pepper, two little Border Collie/Rat Terrier cross puppies.
